Item description
This locket is ready for you to put pictures in both compartments. There is an oval blank on the front side for a monogram; and the backside is embellished with wavy lines. It hangs from a 14” chain; I love the heart shaped bale. These tiny locket necklaces were often given as a keepsake to celebrate the birth of a child.
The body of the locket is 3/8” x 3/8”; on the inside it is marked 14K 1-20 GOLD FILLED and BABY SNOOKS in script as is the clasp. The hinge works smoothly and the snap lock is secure; the gold-filled plating is still intact with no wear-through. Overall, it is in excellent, serviceable, antique condition.
What a lovely gift for a loved one, or addition to a locket collection.
