Vintage 1960s Green Plastic 5 Strand Bead 54 and 18 similar items

Molded lime green and dark avocado plastic beads of two different sizes make up the five strands 54 inches long. Wear it long like a 1920s flapper, or doubled, or even tripled (as a choker) because it is equipped with a fold over clasp – knotted, or twist it like a torsade. At the time, it was considered disposable fashion - worn for a season and then discarded – consequently, it has become quite collectible. Many were handed down to grand daughters as dress up jewelry although that accounts for their demise (like the popit beads.) Not marked in any way, most likely Hong Kong. They are in excellent vintage condition. Light weight and easy to wear – flattering to every body shape and a variety of necklines.
