Item description
? Hauer Pippin Apple tree grafted, 1 year old in 5x5x12 inch pot, sent Bare-root or potted. Trees are 1–2 feet tall. Dispatching plants January-April. Grows in U.S.D.A. zones 5-10.
? Hauer Pippin Apple (Malus sp.) is a classic super late ripening apple from northern California, able to hang on the tree in excellent condition until Christmas and store even longer. Fruits are large, round, hard, juicy, sweet-tart, and spicy with a green skin, dotted with a rich orange-red blush.
? This variety originated in Aptos, Santa Cruz County, California, discovered by Peter Hauer in the 1890s. Believed to be a cross of Cox’s Orange Pippin and Yellow Bellflower, it is very hardy and popular with organic and direct-market growers.
? A heavy producer, the Hauer Pippin is prized for its excellent flavor and versatility. It is outstanding for fresh eating, juicing, hard cider, baking, and sauce, making it a favorite both for home growers and small-scale farmers.
? Your order will arrive in good condition. If any issues occur upon receiving order, contact us the same day with a detailed description and photos so we can assist you.
