Item description
? Sent to California Only!! Gold Nugget Semi-Dwarf Mandarin, 24-36 inches tall grafted tree
? The Gold Nugget Mandarin is a richly flavored mandarin, seedless and easy to peel. It is so named for its pebbly golden nugget like skin. Gold Nugget’s rich sweet mandarin flavor is setting the standard for all other mandarin varieties. Gold Nugget Semi-Dwarf Mandarin trees can grow up to 10’-15’ when planted in the ground, but are easily kept smaller if grown in a container or with judicious pruning.
? Citrus trees (grown indoors or out) are self-fruitful and do not require pollination. Provide 8 or more hours of direct sunlight per day. Protect when temperatures fall below 26 degrees Fahrenheit. Acclimation:
Citrus trees are required to be greenhouse propagated to protect them from harmful diseases. It will shock the tree if you put it in direct sunlight for too long the first two weeks. The ideal location for a couple of weeks outside is a spot by the house with indirect sunlight that gets an hour or two of direct light throughout the day. After two weeks you can move your adjusted tree into its final location, which ideally gets 8+ hours of full sun daily.
? Note: It is common for citrus trees to drop some of their leaves during this transition. Do not panic. Monitor the temperature outside and don’t hesitate to bring the tree inside if you see that nighttime temperatures are going to be consistently below 35F.
? Dispatching plants usually is done in one week after order was placed, beginning of the week. During the winter cold months, there might be a delay for up to 30-60 days till the weather in your area or on the way to you will become warmer. We do not send it to AK, HI, US territories, Canada or Mexico. We can not send citrus to TX, AZ, LA, NV or FL Due to USDA regulations . Orders made from those states will be canceled automatically.
