Native American Artisan Turquoise Coral and 50 similar items

70s style of Southwest Native American constructed earrings ring that have coral colored and turquoise stones inlaid in silver metal to create butterfly wings and bodies (popular subject found in SW native art.) I love the twisted rope frames and the curly antennae. The metal is substantial – not spindly. Even the “price” on the back of the ring is how they priced things in their roadside sales tables (I have never been able to get the ink to come off any of those acquisitions). The earrings were probably on clips or screw backs at some point and were converted to wire hooks for pierced ears. They were quite tarnished when I acquired them and polished up beautifully with a rouge cloth which supports my belief that they are sterling silver, however, they are not marked as such (perhaps the earrings were originally.) They pass testing of at least being silver plate, but the era and style were typically rendered in Sterling. The earring drops are 5/8” x 1 ” and hang from wire hooks for pierced ears; the ring top is ” x 5/8” and mounted on a split shank ring that is U.S. size 7.
