I have had these over 20 years and I don’t know what you call them. They are made of wire and wood. Have any idea.

I have had these before, and they are decorative mini rug beaters. I have sold them from 3 to 5.00 each.

These could also be used as accessories for dolls. Schoenhut doll collectors like to use items like this to accessorize the household vignettes where their dolls are cleaning, ironing, etc.

Could they be ‘rug beaters’ for beating dust out of rugs?

I believe they are a decorative interpretation of a wire rug beater.
Made not for rug beating, but as country/folksie decor items.
If you were to beat rugs with them, you’d beat them out of shape.

The rug beater we had when I was a kid was much larger (3 to 4 feet long), had heavier wire, and had a similar but more substantial handle – you want to get away from the cloud of dust you’re creating. They look decorative to me.

I forgot to tell you about the size of these. They are only 4 inches tall. I was trying to figure out what to call them.
