I do, they’re delicious! I like the extra crunchy kind.
[I deeply apologize for the above nonsense-if no one objects I’ll sit quietly in my corner-take a time out, and try not to think any naughty thoughts]

I love freshwater rice pearls. I have used them in many pieces of my jewelry creating. They have a special elegance to them.

I love freshwater pearls. Just bought an awesome ring at a pearl show here in TN. My favorite necklace is ‘stick pearls’, but then I love all pearls :-)

First of all, @Ravinstalin, LMBO!!!!! :)
[URL removed] Natural vs. cultured. It would take for-freaking-ever to acquire enough natural (i.e., wildly grown) pearls to make a piece of jewelry, thus, the cost is astronomical. The majority of pearls on the markets today are deliberately sown and grown (cultured).
[URL removed] Freshwater vs. saltwater. Each has its own beauty. Obviously, nothing like a true Tahitian for saltwater sexy, but freshwater pearls have one outstanding feature. They take dye well and evenly.
If you ever want to have more fun than the law allows with pearls, try dyeing your own. All it takes is a strand of freshwater pearls, a glass pie dish, paper towels and a good vegetable dye such as RIT. The color possibilities are limitless and it’s even more fun than dyeing Easter eggs.
Wuff! :)
