Vintage 30s Trembler 8 Stemmed Art Glass and 18 similar items

Snake scale pattern cut into red and black rectangular glass held in the brass setting with large triangular prongs attached to stiff wires that allow the eight pieces some freedom of movement, hence the term “trembler”; with a bow gathering the “flowers” together. It is 4” x 2” made of brass that shows no wear in the plating; on the back of the “bow” is the pin mechanism – the pin is straight and the roll-over safety clasps securely; the glass pieces are intact, no cracks, no chips, no crazing; indeed, it appears to have been stored in a drawer for decades – excellent vintage condition. This style of brooch is featured in a Sears Ad on page 40 of “Forties Fifties Popular Jewelry” by Roseann Ettinger, 1994 – it is always a little thrill to find your item in a reference book.
