Original 18th?century copperplate engraving by Bernard Picart, titled “Les Enfers / Hell / Die Hölle / De Helle”. Printed in Amsterdam around 1725–1735 for Picart’s famous series on world religious customs.
This striking engraving shows a dramatic classical vision of Hell, filled with expressive figures and ornate border work. The multilingual caption (French, English, German, Dutch) is characteristic of the Amsterdam editions and adds to its display appeal.
Photographed through a protective sleeve — the engraving itself is clean, crisp, and well?preserved. A strong decorative piece and a genuine 18th?century artwork.
