The color of this poncho is extremely nice. It is a dark, deep rich purple, similar to an eggplant color. The color appears lighter in some of the photographs than it actually is. The poncho is a pullover style, and has no clasps or closures on it. The poncho has no armholes; it just slips over the head and hangs loose. There is a center point at the hem, both front and back. The hem is what is called a lettuce edged hem. The poncho kept slipping off the hanger, so it is not centered well on the hanger in the photograph.
