I’m so frustrated- I’ve been on this site for hours trying to get some of my items updated. I have trouble getting the bulk edit to work- I went through it at least 3 times and (it said the changes were saved,) but they were not. I have trouble getting any kind of editing to go through. I click on save and it just sets there -never updates. Is there a problem with this site or am I just not doing something right. Help please!

If you have a lot of items that are being changed, changes in text edit can sometimes take a few minutes to show up.

Sorry you are having that problem. I know how frustrating it can be as have had that problem only to find out that it was me making the error. Sometime, taking a breather for a few minutes helps. LOL
Without knowing what you are trying to edit, I can only suggest double checking to make sure the correct button on the top panel is selected as well as the button next to the items you want edited. For example, if you are optimizing for search and editing the traits, make sure you have selected the button to “add” or “delete” traits and the information in double brackets [[before and after]]. Follow the examples of other ones, i.e. [[[URL removed]

With out knowing exactly what you are trying to do…
Text editing/replace requires the exact same wording and format that was used to work
Shipping editing requires that all original shipping be cleared first
Large number of items edited at once will not immediately show the changes…it will take a little for the site to go through all items to make changes (it is not instantaneous for large numbers)
Search optimization requires removal of trait/attribute using the double brackets before the new terms, using the double brackets, can be applied…
Shipping profiles, they are tricky…so I usually just don’t use them…explanation to follow if that is what you are trying to set up
So as others said, without knowing for sure what you are trying to do…

This is what I’m trying to do- Batch Edit my Whirligigs. I put all the information in but it doesn’t work. 2 item updated the rest didn’t. I wish I knew how to do a screen shot – but I don’t. I copied and pasted this.

actually that is still not very clear…
Are you Trying [URL removed]
Set quantity to 3 or
Set the price of some items to $58.00 or
Offer 10% discount on items in Crafts category or
If yes to all of these, you will have to set each value individually, you cannot set every one at the same time…
Set quantity
Select the items you wish to change the quantity (check the box)
Fill in the quantity
Apply Changes
Set Price
Select the items you wish to change price
Fill in the price
Apply changes
Select category is to merely change the category of items/set the category of un-categorized items…
But this is for site categories (at least that is what mine shows, since I do not use custom categories…example. if something is in books and needs to be moved to magazines
To move or set custom categories you may have to use the categories and sorting section under edit booth options
Offering a 10% discount (cannot be done by selecting the category) but can be done by
Selecting the items (use the check box)

I too have never had any luck with Bulk Editing in the past so I just go into each item and spend hours updating. Looks like I will be busy again starting Jan 17, 2016 when Post Office rolls out the average increase for shipping costs of 9.4% in 2016.
