What percentage is final value fee? My last five sales you charged me 30% FVF. How do you justify 30%? Even EBay doesn't charge 30% that I know of anyway.

This is an official Bonanza response.

Hello @Karmakid,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the confusion. It sounds like you have opted into our Elite Advertising level with a maximum final value fee of 30%. This advertising level allows us to bid higher on your items so that they are easily found in search results on advertising platforms such as Google Shopping, Nexttag and Bing.

The way advertising works is that we pay up front to list your items on those other sites, then you’ll pay us a slightly higher fee when an item sells. The fee for each sale will be somewhere between 3.5% and your selected maximum commission, depending on the role advertising played in the sale, how many views it received, etc. You can read more about how advertising commission is determined on the following [URL removed]

Advertising your listings is entirely optional and you are welcome to choose a lower commission or disable advertising entirely if you would like. You can view and edit your advertising preferences by pointing your mouse over the “My Booth” link in the upper left corner of any page and selecting “Advertise Items”. Be sure to save any changes you make.

Hope that helps!

Kind regards,
The Bonanza Team

See Katyoke's booth

Go to My Booth
Click on Advertise Items
Check the amount of advertising you may have signed up for…

And choose a lower one…you are right, there is no justification for 30% fee…

Choose like 9% and send your items to google shopping (GPS) and the max fee will be 9% (most of the time it is usually less)…..unless the situation of min fee of $0.50 is a higher percentage of a low cost item…

I believe there is a minimum FVF of 50 cents, so a 1.50 item would have a fee of one third.

Otherwise, you may have signed up for the Elite advertising level. Look under “Advertise Items” to see if that is the case.
