Textile art experts egyptian painting on papyrus or rice paper need help identifying and value

I bought this painting at an estate sale and can not find any info about it. It is unsigned. It’s double matted, and looks like it may be painted with either/and metallic paint, which may contain real gold – looks like it, but am not positive. Extremely detailed and beautiful. Any help at all would be appreciated, as well as an estimated value. Thanks!

Many of these are sold in Cairo, Egypt, as tourist pieces. Look up Dr. Ragab on the internet. I remember purchasing some in Cairo in the early 1980’s….at that time I rec’d a printed piece of paper with information on Dr. Ragab along with a bill of sale. Mine were reproductions at the time…although now would be at least 30 years old.

I gave mine to a friend who worked in Cairo and no longer have the information.

In general they are very well done pieces and look nice framed.

Good luck.

Thank you so much for your answer euroholic and giving me some info to go on – I truly appreciate it!!

Thanks Europeangoodies, but it’s definitely papyrus, not linen at all. It’s probably a bit hard to tell by the photos, but you can definitely feel and see the process of how it was made :)

Good one cheap assignment help

It’s painted on cloth fabric. Something like linen.
Alas, they are very common and sold to tourists for cheap money.
I love this kind of deco, but there are too many out there.
Yours is very pretty indeed and detailed.
