Some sellers are hurting bonanza bad!!

I see how many sellers on here take it for granted that they can take forever to ship because we don’t have the oversight on here like eBay.

so they become lazy not realizing Bonanza needs great sellers to make the site grow.

Many buyers who sign up are first time buyers on here. We need to think of them as fragile, but how many thousands are turned away by sellers .And Who either got thrown off eBay or feel they can offer lower customer service on here.Very wrong :(

I will admit i have had a couple out of stock items, but i take responsibility for it. And it will make me improve, So it doesn’t happen again.

People may not like this but Bonanza keeps track of shipping times and tracking uploaded.I would also list out of stock.
I say Bonanza staff show that in listings as a grade. This can let buyers know what to expect.

Like i said i am not perfect but i do the best i can and WILL improve. I haven’t had many sales on here but if you check my feedback you will see the customer is important to me. I actually treat them better than i do on eBay.

Don’t get bitter at this sellers get BETTER

All sellers are not the same. Some are in training and have never sold online and are still figuring out the ins and outs of selling. This site has gone through changes whether good or NOT makes things complicated. The owners really don’t do anything really to promote this site.

I find it interesting that the shipping options that come up say 1 – 10 days, but not options like 1 – 3 days or Another site has you put in your own shipping time.1- 7 days like ebay.

their facebook page has a few bad comments on it too…

Because a lot of my items are custom made – I cannot use Bonanza’s shipping time set up – so I never fill it in. I advise my customers personally when their items are sent. It is the only way I can do it. I dont sell on Ebay, so have no interest in how anybody else over there does it.

Bonanza is hurting itself. It’s poor seller support. The fact they keep making changes that do not benefit the sellers, few buyers, they keep finding ways to add charges to items and now they are changing policies that brought many sellers here and some of these sellers were ones who have supported Bonanza every since it started. And how does Bonanza thank them – by closing their booths down because not everyone likes the new policies. So things like this are giving Bonanza a bad name because you can’t expect people to recommend Bonanza when they have been stabbed in the back especially after sticking with them for EIGHT years.

Bonanza has been in existence for 8 years. It’s growth or lack thereof has little to do with its sellers but more to do with the lack of the site itself in attracting sellers and/or buyers by not offering anything more than what other venues already had in place. Bonanza offers very little to sellers outside of a refuge from other venues as Bonanza for many many years consisted of disgruntled eBay sellers – the very origin of Bonanza was built as an alternative to eBay but Bonanza has faltered in recent years and hasn’t been able to grow and spread its wings to become a competitor…Bonanza has taken many steps backwards in the past few years and has lost ground rather than gaining it…There is so much more this site could have become but it seems to have lost some direction. New sellers come here with high hopes only to find that this site has little traffic and sellers have to to work their social media skills to the bone – promote, promote, promote and buy into one of the advertising levels just to get views and/or buy into one of the membership levels or a webstore which only work hand in hand if a seller is willing to put the effort into growing their business with all the acquired skills needed as Bonanza is definitely not an eBay or an Amazon…

Totally agree that it is to do with this site and the owners.

I agree that Bonanza can work on some things, like bringing more customers in. but we need to take responsibility for KEEPING the customers here.

I search other sellers on here very often. Some are great sellers but i see some who don’t seem to care after they get the buyers money.

I see this type of attitude from [URL removed] “Don’t worry about the tracking you will get the item” or “i’ll ship it when i ship it” or " I don’t have time for answering questions "

How do i know this? it’s in the feedback it speaks for itself.

Online selling is getting much more competitive. And customers are changing, they want their stuff fast and they want reminders and updates.People are losing their patience, everything is faster now. Technology is pushing that,we must adapt in order to make the customers happy.

My point is just imagine 1000 sellers making 15 people hate Bonanza. Then those people telling their friends about this site and what they think. That could be bad.

If you’re a great seller be proud don’t be upset. But if you have stuff to work on in this regard do it.This will help us all. Think of this as a business we all partially own together.
We all need to treat customers like family and not a way to get a fast buck.Business is changing fast, people want CUSTOMER SERVICE,HUMAN TOUCH and FAST SERVICE.

If i make a mistake i offer options to show i am sorry. What i’am bringing up isn’t Bonanza’s fault this is what we can change to make this site better.

LET BONANZA CHANGE WHAT THEY NEED TO, BUT LET US ALSO CHANGE WHAT WE NEED TO.

People need to go by personal experiences they have had with each individual seller & if new to that seller, feedback is a good indicator. Both Bonanza & PayPal offer cases to buyers should they have an issue with an order. I have read some comments online where someone has had a negative experience & they write off the entire venue which is not right. People should not judge an entire venue or forum & make biased, broad judgements about thousands of people they do not know based on 1 or 2 bad experiences. There are good & bad sellers everywhere. But if that is all it takes to drive someone away from an entire website, its unreasonable. Judge each seller & person based on how THEY treat you, not how someone else did. What Bonanza needs is more promotion & visibility. Hopefully it will become more well known.

One of the other problems is there are many vacant booths with items that are active. I personally have searched for items I may have bought, and what i always do is send the seller a general note such as “do you combine shipping” or “How soon will this ship” or “is the the only one like this you have” And almost every time I never get an answer back.

So can you imagine if someone actually purchases from these sellers and they never get their item? something needs to be done about that.

Yes i agree that’s another problem. That gets back to my point many don’t take bonanza seriously. And by doing that it hurts the site. This is something sellers are at fault for not Bonanza.I had a buyer recently in a note say “please don’t be a scamm…”They shouldn’t have to feel that way.

I was, at one time, an avid Seller, right here in Bonanza. I have issues with almost every single selling venue there is out there, including when I was selling here, I had some issues with Bonanza. THAT being said, I also am elderly and I realize FULLY, you cannot PLEASE ALL the People ALL of the Time. I would suggest NO ONE make a Sweeping Generalization in the negative about ANY selling venue, because simply put, THAT helps NO one. I learned a long long long time [URL removed] WORRY CHANGES NOTHING. I decided NOT to fret and NOT to worry about what it is I had issues with inside a selling venue be that Bonanza, eBay, eCrater, and the like. . .and DO all I could DO to make MY individual customers be so very happy with MY Professionalism that they WOULD ( and Did!) come back to me here in Bonanza (or ANYwhere I sold)! Most people realize eBay has a HUGE following, as does Amazon, and under them come many different kind of selling venues and Bonanza is only ONE of those. Word of mouth by MY customers helped me get MORE business, as well as what My FEEDBACKS state. Everyone who is online and sells and/or buys online has to DECIDE for themselves what ’’’’works’’’’ for them, the BEST! My encouragement to everyone is to NOT waste your time or energy worrying about this, that, or the other in regards to Bonanza, and do ALL that YOU Can, to improve your sales within Bonanza, and let go of the rest as WE CANNOT CONTROL what it is we cannot control, that’s a simple fact of Life, Dearies! Keep a Heart Smile and DO what is BEST for YOU, whether that means staying within certain online selling venues, trying new ways to sell your wares, promoting as best you can, etc., because complaining is simply airing and sharing, but it doesn’t really bring what EVERY seller needs which is """"SOLUTIONS!""" GO after some (as many as possible) Solutions. . .then Peace may then BE with You! Another Encouragement from me to anyone here would be to """"Work Smarter Not Harder, and DON’T be so Hard on You by focusing on what’s NOT working, GO AFTER what does Work!"""" Dee

Is true for me; I HAVE contacted some sellers here, and never got a response. Were sellers I did not know, not any I know or who make a daily or regular presence here. Placed an order last fall. The shop looked very nice. Never got any contact or updates from seller. Began to contact seller. No go. Contacted Bonanza and eventually had to file with PP. Ended up getting my money back. Was just an inexpensive set of rings, but was very disappointed. Found something else at SammyDress. Never did hear from seller. Made me wonder if the poor soul had died. You never know.

These things happen at other sites, at some maybe not so much. Storenvy is having a lot of that now. Just read their FB pages. I guess all sites have dead active shops. I hate them. Would be opening a can of worms I guess, but I wish selling venues would have in place a process where shops that hadn’t been visited for a period of time would be shut down. What that period would be, I don’t know what would be best; maybe 3 mos/90 days. But to do this, venues would have to see a regular significant reduction in seller numbers, and also lose out on the chance that the seller will suddenly become diligent and prosperous the very next day.

Maybe you should take your shipping issues, or any issues, up with ChickadeeSolutions. Privately.
