Social networking memberships and booth promotion

Hi Bonanza Community!
I keep running across posts that mention hiring/paying somebody who has a massive Twitter following, to promote our booth links.
This is a thing?
What is that service usually priced at?
What do you think of it? It seems like it would be a quick way to gain more followers for one’s booth.
I would certainly consider it, if the price was right. I’d probably want to have more items in our booth before doing it, so that once folks were following Tweet links to visit it, it had enough interesting fancies to hold their interest and possibly motivate them to keep checking in to see new items.

Also, I was talking with a guy who has been selling antiques for years. He said I MUST have an Instagram account for promotion purposes. I guess I could do that. Have you set up multiple social networking sites for this purpose and, if so, have you seen great gains from having done so?

As always, THANK you and kind regards,
Barbara

If it wasn’t for social media, sales would probably be really slow…

I do my own..but there are many here who will do it for you for a fee…just do a search something like twitter services…

Also make a face book business page and put this [URL removed]

on the page. It will upload all the items in your booth to your facebook business page and then link them back to your store…

I don’t use instagram, though many do…just haven’t gotten around to it yet…

Good luck

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I already have a Facebook business page, which I’ve been linking all of our booth items’ URLs to, with the referral code tacked on at the end.It has been where most of our views come from, as opposed to Google and Google Shopping. I’ll check into the Twitter services.

But WHY is Social Media a MUST here. I dont do Social because I dont know how. Bonanza has been arould for well over 10 years and should be known if they themselves advertised and became a destination.

They advertise but they do it online, not tv spots or anything like that…..Ebay was one of the first auction sites, so many dont stray from there. Think of bonanza as your own website, how would you get it seen?

I agree, misskeech. It is OUR business on Bonanza’s platform. I’ve often seen Bonanza on social media. Social media grew fast because it’s easier to navigate then most selling venues. Even old folks (like me) can do it. :)

Many sellers here have been doing this for years, so its not just a thing. A site like Bonanza you really do need to promote your own items, and many sellers just don’t have the time to do it, Hence comes in the bonanza seller you can “hire”. Yes the rates are very reasonable for most of them….I have a personal favorite, Inspired Creations (Becky) who is very good at it, I received sales the first time she ever promoted for me and I believe I had 3 sales that week, of course that is not promised…But she really does take the time to keep you informed of what she is doing and when and how often, she stays in touch….If you are interested here is the link to her [URL removed] https://www.bonanza.com/users/1630/profile
