a friend wanted to purchase one of my items..she lives in Ireland and was trying to use her cc on PayPal…and said that it would not go through cause she did not have a postal code..they don’t have them..
I’m sure I’ve sold in Ireland from eBay..
Anyone know anything about this is it a PP or Bonanzle glich?

If uncertain, call PayPaL @ [phone number removed] and they will assist in helping to satisfy your receivable payment. They’re there right now until 12midnite/ pacific time zone.

I would think it would be a PayPal issue. Give them a call and see what you need to do to get the payment to go through.

I think only Dublin has the postal codes, like “2” or “4”.
Google checkout is available in the UK, so they should be able to accept a payment.

Ubeladysales as a Paddy selling/buying on eBay with verified PayPal account linked I would advise for your friend to fill in zip code/postcode box simply with word Ireland as it can’t be left blank, that’s what I do whenever I need to give my address details anywhere on internet, if rarely for some reason word “Ireland” as a postcode is not accepted then I type 000s
And it’s true there are no postcodes in Ireland apart from Dublin, I know it’s silly but hey what can you do? ;)
Hope this helps
Good luck!

Ask if they have a postal code. If not put in 00000. That should work.

Thanks guys I was going to suggest to her to just go use PP as I’ve sent and received payments from Ireland before I’m sure…so at least this way I will know how to help her around it…as for this it’s good info to just put the country or 0000 in the code are Thank You. after all of this I’m just going to gift her the item anyway…guess there is always a reason for something coming up in our life and this was to stop me from charging someone who I’d rather gift something they really like..She’s another lovely friend made over the web which I may never meet physically but carries beautiful energy..Thanks again for all your help.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
