I thought handmade items did not need that.

I have never used MPNs for handmade items on any of the selling venues where I list them.

I also make handmade items. I tried “assigning” my items a MPN to make Google happy but they kicked it back to me.So, I now put Does Not Apply and that seems to make them happy - for now!

Hi Angel

Since you handmake the items, can you not assign it a Manufacturer’s Product Number? It’s not something that Google will be verifying, and if you make a large variety, maybe you already have a special way to identify each different product.

“….you don’t need to submit the brand attribute if the product doesn’t have a clearly associated brand (e.g., movies, books, and music) or is a custom-made product (e.g., custom t-shirts, art, and handmade goods).”

If you want to, use your inventory number as an MPN. As you put it in, a question will come up asking if you want to use it for an MPN. Be sure to click on that. A remark on the left hand side will say "you chose to use xxxxx for an MPN. This only applies if you have a brand. If not, then “does not apply” should suffice.
