The logo on the back of this plate is off-center. Does this mean that it is a factory second? Thanks, Pati

Hi, I’m not entirely sure, but I believe that Royal Doulton cuts a wide slash through their backstamp when it’s a second.

No, I don’t think so.
I’d offer it as something special. How’s that?
Like a unicate…. NOT second!!

i’m not an expert, but i believe that it is a decal pated on, and they were often off center….if it were a second they would have used an diamond tip pencil and scratched through the label like the others have said.
