I cannot remember which countries that are not safe to ship to due to a higher number of lost packages?

This info used to be at the top of my head. For the life of me though I’m only remembering one, which I believe is Russia?

What other countries have you shipped to that had a higher number of lost packages? And what countries do you have no problem shipping to. I know Canada is a good one and a few others for sure but I’d like to hear which countries you like shipping to.

Are there any shipping rules that the post office has done to now benefit us in the USA to help ensure a more safe delivery to international, like I believe I heard they are including a tracking number now?

Thanks.

My live web insights here on Bonanza shows I’m getting 10% traffic from other countries. This is why I’m investigating shipping to other coutnries…I don’t want to miss out on any positive sales I might get. At the same time I’d just put a blurb in my listings for them to email for a ship quote.

I haven’t shipped to many, but I have heard that Italy and a few places in South America can be problematic..

I ship to Canada, Australia and Japan without any problems.

I have shipped to Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Hungry, though those were after much discussion with buyer on shipping details…normally I would not, especially if there was a communication problem

A2z, Thanks for letting me know that you’ve had no problems with Russia and the info on the counties that will not work for you.

I would just be careful selling anything expensive overseas.

I have heard from a few sellers that they don’t ship to Italy. I have shipped to Italy a few times and never had any problems.

Thank you Fallon.![URL removed]

I am going to ask my postmaster (may be about a week) about tracking numbers to other countries. I feel like I read on Etsy that this is being done but I also believe I read that the tracking number to other countries is not always real dependable. Maybe it is just not being followed up on like it is when we ship within the USA with it 99% of the time being scanned. I’ll post back here on what he says. In the meantime if someone knows the answer, a post on it would be excellent and appreciated…

There are shipping insurance companies that have excluded countries they will not insure for. I use that for a guideline. Do a Google search for “shipping insurer’s excluded countries list.”

Italy can be terrible for delays and no tracking. India actually has a very good postal service, just be sure to send it as recorded delivery. Parcels often get opened for checking in India.
