Hundreds of views and no sales or even questions on my site. how can that be?

How come I am getting HUNDREDS of views of my items that are actually much cheaper and no sales, no questions , no nothing other than MOST of my items getting hundreds of “Views”. Does Bonanza just put “Views” up to fake us out?? I am offering Free shipping on most items and certainly getting the Views as it says. I can’t believe No one has even asked a question if I am getting that many views??

I would suggest you ditch the CAPS and certain terminology (adjectives) in your titles as Google doesn’t like that.

This is an official Bonanza response.

Thanks for reaching out @Rockemstockum and sorry to hear that sales have not met expectations. Item view counts on Bonanza are updated in real time and are based on buyer visits as well as your own personal views. If you are looking at view counts on your item stats page, make sure that you are not including views from search crawler activity, which is activity by search bots, Google Organic’s robots, etc. You can update your view settings at the top of the item stats page (set the drop down to “does not include” search crawler activity and update the view). If you do not include search crawler activity, you will get a better idea of item view counts from live humans. Keep in mind that each time you view your own items, it will be included in the view count!

Thanks for your help. If I can shut my own visits off that may be some help, but I promise i sure am not visiting 100’s of times. I post things and come back a couple of times to check them. I had one item with 488 views and I looked at t twice after I posted it. So I don’t know. Thanks tho!

I see that your chat box is not open and/or activated.
(It’s easier and faster to ask questions via the chat box than b-mailing)

I’d also recommend that you change your titles to NON-CAPS.
Google doesn’t like all caps. Just a hint… and Good Luck

I agree with BlueBoy. These are vital suggestions. Sandi/EmbellishMart “Embellishments for your crafting, your space & you!”

Hello ,

do you pay for advertising or these organic views ? I have noticed that when you have organic traffic the conversion rate is much higher then running ppc ad’s . My webstore views are `100% organic and i would say out of every 100 visits we will convert 2-5 sales . My husband is a e-commerce specialist so he helps me alot on getting our name out there without have to shell out any cash .

you do not pay for advertising, you opt to have for items advertised for a higher fvf. There is no up front payment

TrinketBox says: February 23, 2016

“You opt to have your items advertised” “Paying for advertising” implies you pay for the ads whether the item sells or not…which is not how it works

No,.. I have not paid for any ads as I would have thought that if people are looking that much, someone would buy. My sister has just started a T-shirt business on ETSY and in 3 weeks she has sold over $400. of T-Shirts and that is without any ads or even promoting to friends on FB or anywhere else. I had one item yesterday that had 488 views, but not one inquiry , question or sale. I don’t get it. Thanks for your comment to me though.

have gotten as many as 2500 views before a sale….just a lot of browsers….or those price comparing…esty buyers are different…

Comparing Etsy to Bonanza, or any other site IMO, as far as traffic/sales is concerned, is not accurate or fair. You have to put more effort into selling at Bonanza and other sites. It’s good to develop great marketing and promotion skills, no matter where we sell.![URL removed] Welcome, & good luck!
