How to name a hybrid of Waldorf dolls and matryoshka?
Is there any formal title?
We called it “Matryoshka Doll Variations” is it right?

Nuh, these are no Nesting Dolls -
They ARE Matryoshka’s… YET, I think they are [URL removed]

Matryoshka is the Mama though, might be right.

I would not call them Matryoshka variations. Matryoshka has a definite reference to nesting dolls. The Wykopedia definition is [URL removed]

Since your dolls are individual and not a set of dolls that nest one inside the other, the term Matryoshka doesn’t really fit. I would call them Russian Artist Dolls, or hand made Russian dolls, or something to that effect.

Not positive but I have seen then referred to for many years as nesting dolls.
