Help identifying made in the usa pottery vase

Hi…the other day I found this beautiful vase..it is marked USA on the bottom…is this a McCoy? or something else? I think I’ve only seen one other similar…it is in great condition…no chips or cracks…what is the value? Thanks!

Your nice vase is shown in the Mccoy Pottery book, Volume III, by Nissen, Hanson, and Hanson, on page 281. The book shows a catalog page from the 1975 McCoy Roseville Floraline line. It is listed on the catalog page as a 50-400 Dozen Rose vase, Height 8-1/4", Opening 3-1/2".
The picture shows a green matte finish like yours, and also shows this vase in a shiny finish. Your vase is shown with rich, red carnations in it, and it looks gorgeous!

Hi
am not much of a pottery gal, but if you can not get any id here, you can try over at the bay’s pottery and glassware discussion board. Nice folks.

Give measurements, show pics and put pottery in the title of a new thread there.
There are many potties there that may be able to help you with maker.
Good Luck

Hi again, here is a link for the pottery and glassware board at the bay

Hello nymph, Your vase looks to me like a Mccoy floraline vase from about 1950’s. The floraline products were intended for use by florists and were not marked McCoy. Some were marked Floraline. The value is less then McCoy marked products. If it is a Floraline it most likely be less then 20.00. Hope this helps, research under Floraline name.

Great question. I thought all McCoy items would have McCoy on them? All the ones I’ve seen do. Very interesting topic to learn from here (thank you)

Hi Maven,

is Bay’s Pottery and glassware a seller? I tried to find them by doing a seller search and didn’t come up with anything…the pic is on that link up there^ :) I am pretty sure it’s McCoy..need to put it in a safer place the cat jumped on my desk and it came tumbling down…luckily I caught it…thanks for being so helpful. I put a link to those canisters on too.

I’m learning too, but from one of the official McCoy [URL removed]

In November 1911, George Brush became the majority stockholder of the J.W. McCoy pottery, and in December of that year the name of the pottery was changed to the Brush-McCoy Pottery Co.

Very many of the pieces produced by the Brush-McCoy pottery, as in the case of the J.W. McCoy pottery, had no identifying marks at all.

The Nelson McCoy Sanitary Stoneware Co. (NMSSC) was established in April 1910. During the period from then until 1918, the policy of the pottery was not to mark their wares. This was a common practice during this time, although some few potteries did mark their wares.

Thanks to all for your help..I wish I knew a little more about pottery..lately I seem to find them..cheap…today just found one marked USA 447 another green one, from looking around it’s a Hull cacti dish…maybe when I have some more time I will put up a pic of that..also I had another one I have questions about and posted to that pottery and glassware group, somehow I made the pics way too big :( if I can will get those up too.

Not a clue on this one. Did you try replacements.com? when you get there enter “green vase USA” in the search bar but don’t use my quotes. I’ve gotten lucky there a few times will odd items. I never know for sure which category they might have something like that in so head straight for the search bar instead.

Hi Nymph ~

The link that Maven gave you it to a discussion board for Pottery & Glass. There are some very knowledgeable people there who may be able to help you identify the make of your vase.
