Hi all!
I have a customer who currently lives in FLA, but has her Canadian PayPal account she needs to pay for my item with.
I want 90.00 for the item. She converted it to Canada dollars and got 111.00 and she thinks I need to change the price of the item to 111.00 US to ensure that I get the correct asking amount.
I thought PayPal would convert auto-magically, so I have been Googling, but not finding the exact answer to my question. Is she correct? Do I need to edit the price in my listing to reflect the dollar conversion?
Thanks, as always, for any help you can provide!
Kind regards,
LuLu

I wouldn’t change it. Put a higher price in and Bonanza will charge more fees and so will PayPal. I would think her PayPal would convert the amount to the correct currency if she put it in correctly. If I were you I would contact PayPal and ask them about it. But if your listing was in US dollars then that is what she should be paying otherwise she should have contacted you first.

that was really considerate of her…but it is not necessary to change the price……
unlike a recent buyer wanted me to change my paypal settings to accept his currency….mine is set up to accept on USD. I leave the currency conversion to buyer and their accounts…

You could change the setting on Paypal to accept her type of currency for that one sale and then change back. Only had to do that once but it worked fine and I lost no money.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
