Okay, let me say right up front that I don’t understand things like “feeds” and “analytics” and “diagnostics” or any of that stuff. I list things, I sell things, and it’s as simple as that. I’ve had my Bonanza booth for many years, and I’ve just kept it simple for myself. I admit that as I’m getting older, I remind myself of my grandmother, who used to think I was a technological genius every time I hit “cancel” on the microwave oven she thought she’d broken.
So, that being said, feel free to talk to me like I’m an idiot. I won’t be offended.
Recently my sales on Bonanza, which are normally pretty regular, just came to an abrupt, screeching halt. At first I didn’t think anything of it because, you know, things happen and whatever. But as the days went on without any sales, which was weird for me, so I tried searching for some of my items on Google, and poof… Nothing shows up. At all. I don’t exist.
I started poking around. I noticed that on my “stats” there is a red line for “advertising views” (no, I don’t know what that means), and that line had previously zigged and zagged up and down, but in recent days is just a straight, flat line. Like in the movies when someone steps on their rich aunt’s IV tube and all the machines go beeeeeeeeeep. Flat.
This didn’t look okay to me, and didn’t make any sense in light of all the previous zigging and zagging, so I poked and clicked around some more. I went to “booth settings” and saw something that said “learn more about Google shopping” and I clicked on that. On that page, under “feeds” it says “feed disabled.”
What does that mean? Is that why Google doesn’t see me? Or is there something else going on?
I used to be able to Google my items and they’d show up; this change has been very sudden. Did something happen recently that I don’t know about?
Thanks in advance for any help…

Hello @RummageRampage,
Thanks for reaching out and so sorry for the confusion. We had a look at your account and see that your Google Shopping feed is currently disabled. While you have opted into the 13% maximum commission level, you have not selected the advertising platforms you wish to post your listings to, so we haven’t been sending them to Google or other platforms.
No worries! You can update your advertising settings at any time by pointing your mouse over the “My Booth” link and selecting “Advertise items” from the drop down. Be sure to check the boxes in the upper left corner of each advertising platform you wish to send your listings to in order to publish your items to those feeds. Here is a direct link to your advertising [URL removed]

Please note that once you opt into your preferred advertising platforms, it may take 48-72 hours for your items to be properly indexed and appear in search results.
Hope that helps, and happy selling!

I don’t have any answers either, and I am as confused as you, but I just had to say how much I enjoyed your question! It was well written and hilarious — I needed that today.
