Egw&s international silver co. 810...any info available?

Hello All,

My father received a silver plate with the markings “EGW&S International Silver Co. 810”. It has 4 ‘eagle claw’ feet, but we are not advised in this area. If anyone could enlighten us as to this piece in regards to its origin, age, current value, etc. it would be greatly appreciated. I’ll will be happy to send a picture to anyone who wants one.

Regards,
GJ

I myself was just today looking up International S. Co. went to replacement.com and found some info.

I use this site all the time to identify silver, contains both American and European silver [URL removed]

[URL removed] to match the makers mark and then as SweetnSassy said go to Replacements.com under International Silver and you can search for the number 810 which is more then likely the pattern or you can also view all the patterns by images and find it that was especially if 810 does not correspond to a pattern number.

Also a Google search came up with appraisals and info when I typed in EGW&S silver, including that this company was purchased by International Silver as Montrose, cathnwilliamsbooks, and SweetnSassy. Google works very well to research.

And Welcome to Bonanzle!

Hope this helps,
Jenn :)
