I found these today at an estate sale. I was told that the glass balls are Murano (I am not sure of that), but they are old and mouth blown, you can see the pontil and the straw marks.
!!
They are enclosed in a piece of bamboo that has been split to make a sort of cage. There is a pair of them. I can see an extremely old price sticker that looks like one from the 1950’s.

EuropeanGoodies – I think you are right – and yes it is real bamboo and it is old. – I have never seen these before and I have searched the net to see if I could find anything like them

Back Yard Deco !! ? It’s quite common.
But the Bamboo enclosure does not look old …
IS it even Bamboo ? Or plastic?

Check out fishing floats, or fish net floats. If the Bamboo is indeed old, they could be Japanese fish net floats, or markers. I just looked, and see no bamboo, so maybe they are rare, or perhaps have had the bamboo added to them.
