Due to a lifelong interest in the arts, I have transitioned my booth over to handmade fused glass and chainmail jewelry and decor.
Handmade fused glass and chainmail items are made one piece at a time in my home studio. Each piece of glass is cut by hand, shaped, and kiln-fired to temperatures exceeding 1300F. Fused glass bowls and plates are food safe and easy to hand wash. (Do not microwave or run through dishwasher.)
The ancient art of chainmail is the process of linking individual rings of varying size and thickness together to form beautiful wearable art. Originally employed in the making of armour for the knights of old, chainmail weaving techniques are enjoying new popularity in the construction of interesting jewelry and objets d'art.
Everything in my booth has been handmade by me, Catherine Randolph Hamilton. I am a regular contributor to "Fired Arts & Crafts" magazine, my work has been featured in "Crafts Report" magazine and "Art Jewelry" magazine. I have four wonderful children and two wonderful stepchildren, all of whom have developed a great interest in the arts.
