I started knitting a gazillion years ago. A few years after that (hypothetically) I discovered that I really liked the knitting designers in the Rowan Knitting books of the 1980's. The trouble was, I couldn't afford the kits at that time. Leap ahead (beam me up, Scotty!) a few years (ok, more than a few) and I can afford the kits, but they are hard to find. And the few that I find, I can't really afford, because they are so obscure as to be incredibly expensive. So I decided to begin sourcing yarns myself for the kits. Then, I realized, others out there might also enjoy the kits. So VIOLA! Scarborough Designs was born! And I've been assembling children, uh, I mean kits, ever since...
