I have a lot of pencils including high end ones. I consider as high end. I'm not an artist, I use them for writing. I do indeed love writing with them.
They retain the point longer than I thought they would with them being 4b, but I rotate pencils often while (I do it without thinking about it most of the time) so this helps.
They are very smooth to write with and lay down a nice dark line.
They are up there with the best as far as I'm concerned and I highly recommend them.
