I am not one for blind brand loyalty, but I am incredibly impressed with Anker’s products recently. The Soundcore 2 is well built and sturdy, and puts out the best sound I’ve managed to find at my restrictive “can I buy this and still afford groceries?” price point. Its sound is fairly well balanced, with bass much richer than I expected from a speaker this small, even at full volume, and the battery lasts for AGES. The first thing I listened to was the soundtrack to The Prince of Egypt, and the sound quality blew me away.

My mother heard it and became obsessed. “Technology these days!” Long story short, she kept asking to borrow it, and raved about it constantly, so I bought one for her at Christmas. She’s excited that she can finally listen to her “tunes” in the kitchen and drown out my dad’s “damn television” in the next room. :) I’ve never had a gift go over so well!
