This is not an authentic Chi flat iron. I compared it side-by-side to my actual Chi flat iron (which burned out/died), and the materials & quality are not the same. I was super disappointed, but what should I expect when I buy it half the price and not from a professional salon or beauty store! As far as how it works, it just does an okay job at getting my fine wavy hair to be straight.
