"Eugene Veder 1876-1936
Color Etching Art Print
A Listed Artist Eugene Veder known mostly for his detailed color etchings and depiction of
street life in Paris.
Born in 1876 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, in France, he lived until 1936 and is mostly known
for his artwork in the 1920s. His works remain the finest records of the city of Paris.
Etching is the process of using strong acid or mordant to cut into the unprotected parts of a
metal surface to create a design in intaglio in the metal (the original process--in modern
manufacturing other chemicals may be used on other types of material). As an intaglio method
of printmaking, it is, along with engraving, the most important technique for old master prints
and remains widely used today.
this original color etching by Eugène Véder, signed in the plate and is also in pencil by the artist.
Printed by the artist on his own hand press on wove BFK Rives paper.
Art piece is in great condition as displayed in the photo gallery is framed in a wooden frame without a glass, and as seen in the photo display gallery. This wooden framed is very old and does have some has some scuff/wear marks.
Framed Measures 13 1/4" x 11 1/2'' inches art piece measures: 10" x 9" inches under frame. All measurements are approximate.
A rare, vintage and a very collectible art piece by this artist.
**Please note that that there is no glass in the frame** and i would like to mention this.
