The mounting frame has full size J-box with six 1/2 in. and one 3/4 in. knock-outs. The 18 in. flexible metal pigtail coming out of the frame's J-box has plug-in quick connectors and a push-in cable clamp for easy wiring to the downlight. The adjustable hanger bars with automatic levelling flanges align to bottom of joist and lets you hold the frame in place with one hand while driving nails; and with captive nails penetrates standard and engineered wood joist.
