Chunky, large, statement, clip earrings; from the Eternal Flame line by Elizabeth Taylor for AVON in 1993. Heavily plated, shiny bright, gold tone; set pave style with clear rhinestones, oval simulated turquoise cabochons, and a huge cranberry/ruby red cabochon at the tip of the composition – well conceived and designed. Pictured on page 76 of “Warman’s Costume Jewelry” by Pamela Wiggins, 2014. It is always a thrill to see your piece featured in a reference book – and this one is featured in a BIG way on the cover, too! They are 1 5/8” x 1 ”; no wear showing in the gold tone plated metal; all rhinestones are bright and sparkly; both ear pads are present, although many people remove them or they’ve dried and fallen out; both are signed ELIZABETH TAYLOR Avon around an oval cartouche with a large script E at the center; clip mechanisms work perfectly; overall, they are in never-worn, vintage condition.
