This is a repair for the dust covers of many Technics turntables (see list below), who have 2 tabs at the back that go into the black hinges. These tabs get old and break off quite often. Gluing doesn't work.
This repair requires you to cut the tab and the triangular supports off completely. Use tape to protect your cover to prevent scratches. I used a small jigsaw to cut off the remaining tab, and cut the remains off flush with a Dremel tool and a sharp knife. Take your time!
You need to drill two 5,5 or 6mm holes in your cover after printing the parts, and use the printed parts as templates. Use a wood drill, this works quite well. Pre-drilling with a 1mm drill speeds things up.
You will need 4 bolts and 4 nuts. All must be 5mm. My bolts are 16mm long.
