A Grand Prix De L'Horlogerie 1878. Patented French carriage clock named Vainqueur (Winner). The four-leaf clover design has a beautiful top handle and thick faceted glass (beveled glass). This rare clock has a nickel-plated brass case. In the brass frame, there is an oval window in the upper part with a handle, through which the mesmerizing action of the mechanism can be observed. The white face of the clock displays Roman numerals and a second dial at the bottom. On the back of the clock are winding keys with the inscriptions "Grand Prix De L'Horlogerie 1878" and "Dpos Brevet". Manufacturer's mark on the back plate of the movement.
