Because of war needs, metal was a premium and the Model 302 body was made of thermo plastic An ivory colored phone was exceptionally rare The telephone measures 5.5" wide by 7.5" deep by 6" tall weighs 6 pounds. The handset measures 9" long and 3" in diameter at the mouth and ear piece Only one is available Considered the best telephone manufactured to last forever, to be replaced latter by phones of more conservative cost resulting in poorer quality. The rotary dial emits a pulse signal which is only operational on ATT service. Alternate telephone services only recognizes a tone signal as emitted on touch tone telephones.
