Item description
great condition
The Luxman T-240 is a vintage AM/FM stereo tuner made by Luxman in Japan during the mid-1980s. It?s part of Luxman?s line of hi-fi components designed to pair with amplifiers and other audio gear of the era.
?? Key Features
Tuning Type: Digital frequency synthesized AM/FM stereo tuner (FM + MW/AM) with a digital display for station frequency.
Band Coverage: FM and MW (some versions also include LW depending on region).
Circuitry: Uses a Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) tuner system for stable, accurate reception.
Signal Quality:
Signal-to-noise ratio ~74 dB on FM, ~50 dB on MW.
Frequency response around 30 Hz?15 kHz on FM.
Audio Output: ~660 mV (FM).
Memory Presets: Tuners of this era typically offered preset station memory functions (exact number varies by listing and region).
Build: Classic low-profile silver brushed metal finish typical of 1980s hi-fi gear.
Physical: Roughly 453 77 244 mm; weighs ~3 kg.
? Performance Character
While not a top-end flagship model, the T-240 is generally regarded as solidly built with good basic reception and sound quality for its class, and many users find it performs reliably with a proper antenna connected.
? Typical Use
This unit was designed as part of a modular hi-fi system ? used with a separate amplifier and speakers rather than as an all-in-one receiver ? making it a desirable vintage component for collectors or retro audio setups.
