Item description
A designer Swedish silver statuette desk ornament or paper weight from a famous Uppsala maker, made in 1973.
This charming silver object depicts a traditional reindeer herder with rope in hand, standing on a rock perhaps surveying the herd.
Reindeer herding is an ancient activity in much of Sweden, part of the traditional way of life for the Sami people, many of whom still herd the beasts.
The whole figure including the base measures approximately 3 3/8" wide by 1 15/16" deep by 1 7/8" tall (86mm x 49mm x 48mm).
It weighs 194.2 grams.
It is fully hallmarked and signed by the maker.
