Item is New in the sense that it was tried but not really used. My mother wanted to use this lavender neck and shoulder wrap to ease the pain and tension in her body but it was just too heavy for her so she was not able to use it. Size is Medium. (I will add my own thoughts here! I would not consider this a flannel fabric! I would describe it as a plush velour or something similar.) Contains mainly flax seeds, lavender. These herbs relieve tension and muscle soreness. Heat Cold Therapy: Warm it in the microwave for heat therapy. Leave it in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours for cold therapy. This herbal heat pad is perfect for road trips, airplane flights! Ergonomic design: It is designed to wrap the back neck and cover the shoulder, providing a full range of thermal/cold / aroma treatments. Widely Used: Freezing can be used as an ice pack, can reduce swelling? Heating can be used as a heating pad to relieve muscle tension and soreness? Herbs such as lavender can promote sleep, relieve migraines, etc. Hot Therapy For safety, this herbal neck and shoulder wrap microwave on high for 1:30 the very first time you use the wrap. If not hot enough, microwave for 2:00 the next time, then 2:30, then 3:00, then 3:30 (max heating time). Allow your wrap to cool to room temp before heating again. Cold Therapy Place in large ziplock bag and keep in the freezer for at least 4 hours prior to use. Expect 8-10 minutes of gentle cool therapy per freezing cycle. Attention ?ALWAYS heat on a clean, dry plate. ?NEVER place directly on microwave carousel. ?Carousel must always be ON. ?Keep wrap away from oil or food. Do not drop essential oils on the wrap. ?If soiled, spot clean fabric only. Do not submerge wrap in water. Comes from a smoke free, no house pets home.
