Hammer pendant hanforged laminated steel, and similar items

Pendant made from laminated steel shaped like a war hammer. Laminated steel (many times called Damascus steel nowadays) is hand-forged by me in my little medieval inspired forge. Laminating steel is a process of stacking layers of different steel one upon another and then heat them up to bright white temperature(where the outer layers of steel start to melt) and then applying force to merge them permanently (called forge welding). The pendant is ground, sanded, and then deeply etched to bring out patterns, finished with an oil coat to prevent corrosion. Mjolnir is the hammer of Thor, the Norse god associated with thunder. Mjolnir is depicted in Norse mythology as one of the most fearsome and powerful weapons in existence, capable of leveling mountains. The Prose Edda relates how the hammer's characteristically short handle was due to a mistake during its manufacture. (source: Wikipedia) I only make a few of them a year.
