Item description
This STUNNING Vintage Black Silk Pleated Suit from the 1950s features a silk-lined bodice with vertical pleats, self-covered buttons, elbow elbow-length sleeves; the pencil skirt is of the same black silk vertical pleats and has a back zipper, unlined.
Both pieces are couture quality with extra wide selvidge seams. The original owner possessed many designers of the eras, Dior, Schiaparelli, Balmain, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and more. This one has no label, but was among those when I originally purchased this piece. It looks like something Jackie Kenedy would have worn. Or it would be at home on a secretary who loves vintage. It is just dry-cleaned and gorgeous and ready to wear!
