Item was made and tagged by non profit In 1947, Refugee Handicrafts, founded in Delhi by Fori Nehru, Kitty Shiva Rao, Achamma Mathai, and Prem Bery,aimed to support refugee women by providing employment opportunities.The organization, which initially focused onsewing and embroidery,was later absorbed into the Central Cottage Industries Emporium in 1952. Refugee women were assisted by having materials delivered to their refugee camps like Kingsway Camp.
