Item description
Experience the charm of vintage Americana with this Home Run Baseball 1c gumball dispenser from circa 1947. A true throwback to the mid-20th century, this piece hails from the United States, boasting a rich history and a nostalgic appeal that's sure to spark conversations and add character to any collection or display.
Perfect for enthusiasts of classic gaming or vintage collectibles, this gumball dispenser embodies the spirit of a bygone era. Its timeless design and durable construction reflect the quality and craftsmanship of the period, making it more than just a game piece?it's a slice of history.
The Victor Vending Company made this baseball themed machine in 1949. You must have your finger on the trigger and be ready to swing the "bat" when you insert the coin because the ball of gum immediately comes towards home plate. Excellent original condition. Reference: "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill and Peggy Enes, page 195. Has key.
Measures 21" long by 11" wide by 14" tall
The trigger operated bat hits the ball through the air. The player receives a gumball for every penny except when a home run is made. The home run ball is displayed at the bottom of the target. The merchant awards the player for skill, then the ball is released and falls into the cash box for a record.
