Item description
This stunning Fenton Butterfly Berry tumbler showcases the rich amethyst carnival glass finish, shimmering with iridescent hues. Produced between 1911 and 1924, this pattern features delicate butterflies and berry clusters, a classic example of early Fenton artistry.
Condition: Good vintage condition?one small chip at the base.
Measuring 4 inches tall and 2 7/8 inches wide at the mouth, this tumbler is a wonderful addition to any carnival glass collection. Its deep violet tones and intricate design make it a standout piece for display or use.
Fenton introduced the Butterfly Berry pattern around 1910-11, and it remained in production for nearly 30 years, making it one of their longest-running carnival glass designs. The pattern was used across various forms, including tumblers, pitchers, bowls, and vases, often paired with other intricate interior designs. Fenton, founded in 1905, was a pioneer in carnival glass, first producing it in 1907 as an affordable alternative to high-end iridescent glass. Their innovative approach made them one of the most celebrated American glassmakers.
