Item description
Coleman's Songs for Men (1932 Hardcover Songbook with no Dust Jacket)
"Consisting of the Best New and Old for Men's Voices Largely for Religious Services But Also Many of the Fine Old Plantation Songs ALSO Some of the World's Best Solos, Duets and Other Specials." - (Subtitle continuation)
196 songs in 4 voices pitched in the male vocal range published in round and shaped notes. Indexed by title.
Each song has authors attributed for both lyrics and music. Whole edited and compiled by Robert H. Coleman. Musical Editor was B. B. McKinney.
Hardcover has gray cloth boards with black lettering on front cover, no DJ. Cover is thread-bare and worn through at edges. Prior owner's name on front paste-down. Although heavily used, this book was carefully handled with square corners and intact gutters. Ffep has indents from paper clips used as book marks. Interior is tight, clean and text unmarked.
Copyright 1932. Likely not a unique early edition because stated published by The Broadman Press as successor to Robert H. Coleman. No edition nor print run info found. No ISBN, LCCN, nor MSR.
