WHITE BANNERS
By Lloyd C. Douglas.
Rockefeller Center, New York: Pocket Books, Inc., (1946).
First paperback edition, first printing.
"First printing September 1946" statement to the copyright page.
Adapted to the 1938 Warner Bros film directed by Edmund Golding, and starring Claude Raines, Fay Bainter and Jackie Cooper.
A young woman becomes a housekeeper and cook for room and board, and wisely helps family members along the right paths, in times of trouble.
