Books measure 12" x 9.5"; each w. full vellum bindings, gold top-stain, marbled endpapers. Includes 4 original engravings.
There is a gift inscription on Vol. 1 dated 1919, given to an employee of The Bank of England upon his retirement, see pic.
Condition: used / antiquarian, overall very good. Boards intact, minor soiling w. better than avg wear, scrapes to edge of vellum on one volume, scrapes to spine labels, light foxing to preliminary / a few end pages / ep's
