Sold as is for parts or restoration.
Here is the story on these:
Once upon a time, (If I recall was around the late 1990s), we bought a huge pile of surplus computers and electronics from a school auction, including many Apple IIe computers these were from. The computers seemed to mostly work when tested back then, but were considered obsolete so no one wanted to buy them. There was no back then and local people were not interested. So the bad news is they all were taken apart for recycling. The good news is the main boards were saved and had been boxed up for future precious metal reclamation, and have sat boxed up in forgotten storage ever since then. We recently came across them when cleaning out some storage areas.
We do not know if they still work, as with age of all old electronics, capacitors or exposure may be a factor. There is some tarnish here and there such as on some IC pin legs or on steel D connector outer housing etc from age/humidity.
Picts are samples but most seem comparable.
We sprayed all down with Caig D5-deoxit spray to help stabilize and improve any connections but even so, still selling as untested as is for parts as we have no way to test any.
These would also be great for a vintage computer display showing the main boards for IIe.
