Item description
You will receive 1 plant similiar to the pictures in a plastic pot well padded.
Begonia maculata, also known as the polka dot begonia, is a cane begonia with olive green leaves and contrasting spots. It's a fast-growing evergreen perennial that can reach over one meter tall. The plant is native to the tropical forests of Brazil and prefers cool/warm, bright conditions. It can be grown indoors or outdoors.
Here are some tips for growing begonia maculata: Provide strong filtered light. Too much sun can scorch the leaves, but too little light can cause the colors to fade. A north, west, east or south facing window that receives bright light is ideal.
Use a well-draining potting mix. You can make your own mixture by mixing equal parts of regular potting mix and perlite or pumice.
Water when the soil becomes dry.
Stake the plant if you want it to grow tall.
